URGENT: Help Prevent Veteran Displacement in Arizona.

48-Hour Update
Thank you to everyone who’s stepped up so far — whether through donating, sharing, or even just checking in with words of encouragement. We’re at a critical point right now, and I want to take a moment to give some clarity on how this all came together and how your support is being used.
I’m the founder of Faith, Valor & Growth, a grassroots initiative committed to helping veterans secure long-term housing, build purpose, and support one another as a community. Our mission is to identify veterans who are at risk — whether homeless or in unstable situations — and create pathways toward ownership and stability. It’s not just about shelter; it’s about rebuilding lives with dignity.
Recently, I began working with Delshea Williams, the founder of Stepping Stones, after having her on my podcast. She and her team have been doing the work — quietly housing veterans the VA has no other options for. This partnership isn’t about paperwork or formal agreements — it’s about recognizing when people are doing what’s right and doing whatever we can to back them up.
That’s what this fundraiser is about. We’re using this platform to raise emergency funds directly for Stepping Stones. None of the money comes through me — all of it will be deposited straight into Stepping Stones’ official business account so they can act immediately. They’re the ones on the front lines, and they know best how to use the funds.
These donations will go toward application and registration fees, legal compliance, and any other costs they incur to keep these homes open and keep our veterans from being displaced again. It also helps cover things like utilities, basic hygiene kits, and the other unseen costs of doing the work no one else is doing — housing veterans who would otherwise fall through the cracks.
Right now, they’ve been able to secure a short-term loan that gives them some breathing room and keeps the homes open — but that loan will need to be repaid quickly. This is why your donation still matters: it helps relieve the financial pressure and allows Stepping Stones to operate without unnecessary outside control or repayment obligations hanging over their mission. We’ll be keeping this fundraiser open through June 28th, and at that time, we’ll move the funds over directly to support their operations and transition plan.
If you’ve donated — thank you. If you haven’t yet, we still need your help. Every dollar helps keep someone off the street and inside a home. Please keep sharing this. Let’s keep going.

An Emergency Appeal to Protect Veteran Housing
On Friday, we dropped a powerful podcast with Delshae Williams of Stepping Stones — an organization that’s been quietly housing homeless veterans in Goodyear, AZ.
Just days later, the City came to their doorstep. Due to new interpretations of local rules, they were told that each home must now be registered under a category typically used for recovery homes — even though that's not what this is.
These veterans have been placed here because they are homeless — not because they are in a recovery program. Many are referred directly by the VA. This isn’t about addiction or rehabilitation — it’s about housing dignity.
Stepping Stones is doing God’s work — and yet they’re being met with one of the most difficult roads imaginable.
They’re operating at a zero profit margin: paying $3,500/month in rent for each home, receiving just $1,200 per veteran, and covering utilities, hygiene kits, and basic essentials out of pocket — simply because it’s the right thing to do.
Now, they’re being required to:
Pay $1,000 per home in registration fees (five homes total)
Cover additional legal compliance costs
Possibly hire rotating staff for oversight and liability
We’re trying to raise at least $5,500 immediately to keep these homes open and protect these veterans from displacement in the next 48 hours.
✝️ If you believe in standing up for veterans, this is the moment to act.
Every dollar goes directly to helping Stepping Stones stay compliant and keep these homes operational.
If you can’t donate, please share this with your network.
Thank you for walking this road with us.
