I'm being forced to seek other housing, which I have found, but there is a security deposit along with the first month of rent. I need the security deposit of $900 by the end of this weekend, plus first month's rent (also $900) soon after so I can secure my move-in date.

I didn't have to pay a security deposit for my current room, so I won't be getting money back from that. I had also just paid rent and other bills when the notice was given to me that my lease would not be renewed. I have yet more bills coming up with my next check and will be needing to pay final rent on my current place. I'm looking for a better paying job, because I feel like I've been drowning for months.

Background on that: I've been playing catch-up with my bills after missing three and a half weeks of work following the death of one of my parents in September, and I was hospitalized at the end of July and missed work then as well. My PTO was burned through well before I went back to work, and the state has made receiving any kind of assistance, even for missed time due to an illness, very difficult.

So now I need help. I'm getting a small amount from friends I know in real life, but there's a limit to what they can help with. Being queer means my options are limited for where I can safely move. Having a cat (pictured above) means my options are even more limited in this area, so this room seems to be my best option, even if the queer friendliness of the space is unknown.
