Hello and thank you for reading our story. 2 years ago my sister lost custody of her 2 children because of alcohol use, neglect, and domestic violence. They were placed in foster care for 2 years. 1 year with a foster family in Indiana and 1 year with my mother. Recently because of the lack of due diligence and our broken system CPS decided to close the case because it started in Indiana and it took too long to transfer to Ohio. What happened was illegal and now that children are back in an unsafe environment. While living in Indiana my sister and the children’s father were arrested for this situation and my sister got 6 months in jail. Right before going to jail she found out she was pregnant and had a child soon after being released. Now the baby is going through the same things his 2 other siblings went through witnessing the domestic violence and alcohol and drug abuse.
