Diabetic Father with 3 Young Sons and No Insulin
Donation protected
I am Laura from Washington DC and I created this page for Mona from Gaza, a mother of three whose diabetic husband, Haitham, is unable to access the insulin he needs. Currently sheltering in a school with limited food and water, the family is struggling to survive and desperately seeking a lifeline. I was connected to Mona by my friend Doaa, her sister who is also trapped in Gaza. Please, help this beautiful family if you can.
Without his medication, Haitham falls into a diabetic coma almost daily. His condition is deteriorating and he is losing weight rapidly. Mona is struggling to care for both him and her children Yazan, age 11, Yamen, age 9 and Ahmed, age 7. After being displaced 12 times, fleeing multiple bombings and attacks, the family is exhausted and terrified. Life in the school is crowded, dirty and uncomfortable. Their immediate survival is uncertain and their hopes for the future have been permanently altered.
Please help! With your donations, Mona and her family can buy the food, medicine and basic necessities to survive until the borders reopen. Then, the family will use the money to evacuate out of Gaza to Egypt so that they can start a new and safe life.
Your Donations cover:
* Basic necessities
(water, food, medicine, clothes, hygiene products, wood for cooking)
* Passport fees
* Border crossing fees
* Temporary accommodations in Egypt
Thank you for helping this wonderful family survive and rebuild their shattered dreams. Please, donate and share if you can.
