This is my small family with tons of love. My name is Cheryl, Mike is my husband, and Sir Captain is our best friend, outside of each other. My husband and I raised 4 children and now they have children totaling 11. My husband and I worked our whole lives and loved our children unconditionally and endlessly. My husband was the bread winner for 30 plus years and we are in our 50s now. Back in July of 2025 my husband was laid off due to the company he worked for hiring employees from India. While it's a wonderful thing for them, it's been nothing but downhill for us. Since the lay off, we first lost our home that we built to raise our family in,, we could no longer afford the mortgage. We then called one of those close fast type companies to try to save ourselves with equity. We were able to get an apartment. Mind you my husband and I are and have been the sole provider for my first grandson, so we had to get something big enough at as little cost as possible. We both have been looking for jobs relentlessly. We cannot seem to find anything in my husband's profession. The only thing we can figure is that maybe they want a younger group of employees. We are in our 50s now. We have done right by our friends, family, and congregation. We love GOD and are continuously praying for just 1 little break. I don't want my faith to waiver but I'm beyond exhausted and need help. I'm asking for 5000.00 so we can keep a roof over our grandsons head, and food in the house. I've begged Medicaid for help and we don't qualify because we don't have any income...how is that possible. You make a certain amount and you get help but if you make nothing you don't. I'm so sad and so confused. I not one to share my turmoil or hardships but I have no other choice. No family to help and mostly everyone we know are struggling to keep their heads above water. In 6 days we will be homeless. PLEASE HELP US. WE PROMISE TO PAY IT FORWARD.
