Urgent Help Needed: CHEW's Gear Stolen in Copenhagen

OUR GEAR WAS STOLEN IN COPENHAGEN!

Hey everyone. Bresh from CHEW here. Well, it finally happened to us. Our gear was stolen out of our van last night in Copenhagen, Denmark. They smashed a window and got away with a lot of important items we really need. A full gear list will be included below. We are devastated and really upset, but we are pushing through. This has never happened to us before in our 10 years of touring.

Luckily, I put an AirTag inside a secret location with some guitar gear. I tracked the bag down to a public park and found some merch items, just the board that my pedals are on (no pedals), all 4 compact flash cards for my 404 sampler, and some other discarded stuff. My phone was dead, so I collected all the stuff I could, searched the park, and then walked back to the venue where we were sleeping. I charged my phone and saw that the location had updated. I ran out of the door and jogged to the location. There was a van parked by some apartments and a convenience store. I looked through the back door and saw my bag!! The venue manager called the police, but I knew they would be useless. I just tried to open the back door, and it opened.

DIY, right?

I grabbed my bag, found all of my guitar pedals, Jamey’s bass DI, Sarah’s kick pedals, and a couple of other personal items. Then, I walked everything back to the venue. There’s still a lot that is currently missing.

So, we’re on our way to Hamburg, Germany to play our set. We will keep everyone updated here and on our Instagram page.

I hate that I’m even writing this. We put so much effort into what we do. We’re careful about our gear and know that break-ins happen all the time.

I could go on, but I will leave it at that.
