Hi, my name is Jessica and I’m writing this on behalf of my dear friend Shana. I’ve known her and her son for over 10 years. I’ve seen her courage and strength firsthand, especially as she cared for her son, Jordan.

My friend Shana is a selfless soul who lives with cerebral palsy, who was recently abandoned by her husband. This sudden and devastating event has left her and her son without a stable home. The situation is even more heartbreaking for Jordan, who lost his father at a very young, tender age. He is now losing someone he looked up to as a father figure and truly loved.

The current house they were left in is deemed unsafe due to the destruction her husband caused over a few months' time, removing the load bearing wall and left the house sitting on jacks, cut the wiring to hot water tank and to furnace. Shana and her son have no choice left but to find a new home. Her son Jordan also lost the vehicle that he was paying for, which is in his stepfather’s name, due to it being reported stolen and damaged.

The funds will cover expenses related to the security deposit, first/last month's rent, and any costs to have utilities turned on.
