Help Bring My Mum Home After Emergency Life-Saving Surgery

I never imagined I would have to write something like this.

My mum travelled to Turkey from Manchester for what was meant to be a relaxing family holiday with her family but things took a devastating turn. She suddenly became critically ill and was rushed to hospital, where doctors discovered she had a ruptured appendix and a perforated stomach.

She had to undergo emergency, life-saving surgery and is now in intensive care. We are so grateful she made it through the operation, but she is still very unwell and has a long recovery ahead.

Once she is stable, she will be moved to a ward where she must stay for at least 5 days, followed by another 10–12 days before she is fit to fly home.

The hardest part is that her insurance does not cover this, and the hospital requires £15,000 to be paid before she can be discharged.

As a family, we are doing everything we can, but we simply cannot manage these unexpected costs alone. That’s why I’m reaching out for help.

We are trying to raise funds to cover her emergency medical treatment and help bring her safely back home where she belongs.
