Hello everyone, my name is Tobias and my family and I need your help!!

On February 24th, we received a 30-day eviction notice from our landlord. We have until March 20th to find a new home, and as of right now, it is not looking good.

We need to raise funds to at least pay for the first month and a security deposit for a place. Since we got the notice, I have been looking at a bunch of different apartments for me and my family.

Unfortunately, I have a lot of trauma around getting evicted/going homeless due to my childhood, so I have not been able to stop and rest because my brain is running wild trying to make sure we do not end up living in a hotel or our car. Living in our car really isn’t an option anyway, as I am deathly allergic to the cold and four people plus two animals can’t live in a car.

I have found a few places that would work well for us, but as of right now, we can’t afford to pay the first month and a security deposit. My two roommates are currently the only ones that have a job, and even if we save what we can, it still will not be enough.

I cannot work due to my disabilities. I am working on getting on disability, but it’s a very long and difficult process. My husband currently does not have a job but is searching for one.

My two roommates do work, and once the first month and security deposit are down and we get settled in, we’d be able to afford the apartment on our own.
