Hello everyone, my name is Tobi and my family and I need your help!!

On February 24th, we received a 30-day eviction notice from our landlord. We had till March 20th but due to lawyers and things we’re actually still in the apartment for now.

We need to raise funds to at least pay for the first month and a security deposit for a place. Since we got the notice, I have been looking at a bunch of different apartments and we need help with paying for a place.

We’ve also been struggling to be able to afford food as well, we haven’t been eating properly for awhile. I only eat one “meal” a day and it’s taking a massive toll on my physical health and making my chronic issues a lot worse. So part of the money would help get us some groceries as well.

Unfortunately, I have a lot of trauma around getting evicted/going homeless due to my childhood, so I have not been able to stop and rest because my brain is running wild trying to make sure we do not end up living in a hotel or our car. Living in our car really isn’t an option anyway, as I am deathly allergic to the cold and four people plus two animals can’t live in a car.

I have been looking at a few places, but as of right now, we can’t afford to pay the first month and a security deposit. My two roommates are currently the only ones that have a job, and even if we save what we can, it still will not be enough.

I cannot work due to my disabilities and my husband has been applying for jobs all over but so far hasn’t gotten any responses.

Once we get settled in, we’d be able to afford the apartment on our own but we just need help with first month possible last month and a security deposit.
