Miss Sonia survived Melissa because she was already sheltering with her neighbor, Mr. Charlie, since Hurricane Beryl in 2024, after her house collapsed. Since November 19th, 2025, she has been living in the ruins of her home after being evicted by Mr. Charlie's granddaughter. She will be sleeping in a room with no roof and partial zinc doors. All donations will go towards materials, furniture, and food for this elderly member of my devastated community.
