My name is Zakira Khwarlyan. I am 24 and I am a senior at Western Michigan University.
I have 7 brothers, 5 sisters and 2 of my brothers are married with kids.
My mother has been in and out of the hospital but can't afford to stay in the hospital.
The recent flood and seismic activity from the 6.0 magnitude Earthquake in Pakistan had a devastating impact on my family back home. They live in Peshawar, Pakistan. There was seismic activity during the night of August 31st, then the flooding started in the morning soon after. They have lost everything. Their home has collapsed into the ground. They need urgent shelter, food and medical support. My 14-year-old brother has been in and out of the hospital due to a wall falling onto him during the flood. He had to have surgery on his head and injured other body parts. My mother and her children are sick due to contaminated water and famine.
I am raising funds to send to my family back home.
My family needs a lot of support right now.
The money will go directly to my family and Western Union to provide for them and give them the support they need.
They don't have any resources available to them in Pakistan so the best I can do for them is hope and try to support from the outside.
I would greatly appreciate help from any outside support during this devastating time.
All the funds will go towards my family's medical bills, food, and shelter expenses.
People have died and been seriously injured, and I am hoping I can help my family this way for now.
Thank you in advance for all your support!
Every little bit helps more than you know.
