I met the Dmitri family last week and got to know their story from the mom, Elena. They live in Austin, TX, but had to come to Nashville this month to get the mom’s legal paperwork in order. They originally had just enough to pay for a hotel during their stay until their van broke down, leaving them with a steep mechanic bill and money for the hotel and food running out. They have six kids (including a 2-month-old baby) and are in need of food, shelter, formula, and their van being fixed.

They don’t know I’m making this, but I would love to surprise them with $5,000 to cover their mechanic bill, hotel stays for the next couple weeks, food, formula, and some left over for gas and other needs for their road trip home. We will use these funds to directly pay the hotel and mechanic. (2 biggest amounts)

I have been in contact with the family, visited them at the hotel, spoken with their mechanic, and can vouch for their situation. They are lovely people in a really tough spot. They hope to head back to TX in August. Anything helps contribute to our goal!
