Urgent Help for Sister's End-of-Life Care

Donation protected
I am starting a GoFundMe account to help my sister. She is battling cancer and has been for many years.

Last year, we moved her and her boyfriend here from Wisconsin to make sure she has the care that she needs if she does take a decline.

A couple of months ago, she had some of her lung removed. We thought she was in remission.

Less than 2 months ago, in October, her hip started hurting and she quickly declined. She started using a walker; she couldn't bear it. Days later, her doctor ordered a scan and found out she has hip cancer. They immediately ordered a wheelchair.

Since November 6th, the day of the diagnosis, she's had a significant decline, especially this last two weeks alone. She can no longer walk; her memory has taken a dive, and she can no longer do anything on her own. Over the last couple of weeks, she's declined so dramatically they've decided to start hospice care, which began Wednesday evening at her home to honor her wishes.

She seems to be coping with the terms at this time from what she can understand. However, with the major decline in her mental and physical health, she's able to understand much of what's going on around her; it's very minimal along with being so medicated.

Due to her rapid decline, her boyfriend Robert and I are working on caring for her as best as possible around the clock, 24/7. However, we are not able to get any more care teams in the home at this time besides hospice care, which is only 3 days a week. DHS still hasn't contacted us back and we're told it will be a process; we're not sure if we have that much time.

We need home aides to come in and sit with her so we can work or when we're taking care of things for her outside of the home.

We are working around the clock to make sure that her care is met. At this time, we need volunteers and/or help with donations to assist with around-the-clock care.

Until we hear from DHS home care, which could be lengthy, we're told our only other option besides volunteers in the home is a facility. No way, I will honor her wishes and let her pass at home peacefully with her family as she has wished. She begged me not to put her in a home a week ago as it started getting bad. I promised her I will honor her wishes.

The care I'm told that can be provided is through a home care program hospice referred us to. They charge $30 an hour for the home care assistance. We need as much help as we can get in these hard times. We also need to go to work and rest here and there.
This is also just in case, worst-case scenario, with her rapid decline, we want to make sure that we are prepared for any after expenses once she does pass away. I do dread saying that, but we have to come to terms with this disease. She's declining very quickly. I just don't want her in any pain anymore. I want her to stay comfortable and cared for at home. So I am asking for any volunteers or any donations to help assist with her home care and/or after expenses due to her rapid decline. I'm not sure how long she's going to be here.

Thank you ahead for all your help and generosity
