My name is Eugene and earlier this year, I lost my mother to cancer. She was more than just a mother to me — she was a tireless animal lover who devoted her life to rescuing and caring for strays in Sekinchan, Malaysia.

At the time of her passing, she was looking after 30 rescued dogs, all now sheltered under a private facility. Unfortunately, the shelter owner is now requesting payment to continue housing and feeding them — something my family is currently struggling to afford alone.

These dogs were my mom’s heart. Many were abandoned, sick, or injured before she gave them a second chance. They are her legacy, and I’m doing everything I can to keep them safe and together — just as she would’ve wanted.
