Hello everyone. My name is Peggy. I am a working mother of three beautiful angels. I created this gofundme to prevent my family from being homeless again. We used to receive public assistance until Department of Social Services cut us off. Suffering Lupus and Fibromyalgia, it made it much more complicated to find work and keep one. And which it allowed me to owe back rent. Although ERAP has paid a portion of the rental arrears, landlord has chosen to vacate us. I’ve applied at Social Services to assist me with the rental arrears was denied saying I make too much money. I put in for an order to show cause twice and both judges declined. I’ve reached out to numerous organizations that claim they assist with rental arrears and got turned down. Between trying to catch up on other expenses and extra expenses due to my son being special needs, it has become extremely stressful. I am asking for financial assistance to either pay off the rental arrears or to help move!! I don’t have to too much time so any amount of financial assistance donated will be a blessing!!!
