My name is Omega and I am a proud daughter of a hardworking family. I never imagined I would be creating a GoFundMe like this, but my family is facing something heartbreaking and overwhelming, and we cannot do it alone.

On December 15, 2025, my uncle was on his way to work – doing what he has always done – when he was suddenly pulled over by ICE. In a matter of moments, his life and ours were turned upside down. He was first held at Delaney Hall in Newark, NJ, and after a few days, he was transferred to a detention center in Georgia, far away from us. Because of his transfer, we are not able to see him.

My uncle is a very hardworking man. He has never been a threat to anyone. His routine was simple and honest: go to work every day and come home to spend time with his family. He kept his head down, worked hard, and lived quietly. Watching someone like him be detained has been devastating for all of us.

We are raising funds to help pay for an immigration lawyer, specifically to file a habeas corpus petition. I am doing this GoFundMe because my family believes in fighting for our loved ones, especially when they cannot fight alone. My uncle deserves a fair chance, proper legal representation, and the opportunity to come home to the family who loves and misses him deeply.
