Urgent Help for Mother's Custody Battle
Donation protected
Here is a timeline of events that I did not previously share so that you have an idea of exactly what I’m up against and what my children have been suffering:
Introduction:
Hello, my name is Amy and I am reaching out to the community for support during a critical time in my life and the lives of my children. We are currently caught in a heart-wrenching legal battle in Pinellas County, seeking to protect my children from an ongoing abusive situation that has been overlooked due to the failures of our family law system and the Department of Children and Families (DCF).
The Situation:
For years, my children have been subjected to conditions no child should ever endure — all under the watch of a system that is supposed to protect them. Despite numerous reports and evidence of neglect and abuse, the necessary actions to safeguard my children have not been taken. Recently, the situation reached a critical point when my eldest daughter was hospitalized due to severe malnutrition — a direct result of the neglect she suffered.
Our Needs:
I am establishing this GoFundMe to cover the costs that will enable us to fight this battle effectively and ensure that my children are brought to safety. Your support will help cover:
• Legal expenses for ongoing court proceedings.
• Living expenses to stay in Pinellas County, as I must be present for continuous legal actions and to be near my children during this process.
• Costs associated with securing expert witnesses and obtaining necessary documentation to strengthen our case.
Why Your Help Matters:
Every donation is more than just financial support — it’s a stand against child abuse and a step towards justice. It allows us to fight without the looming stress of financial ruin and focus entirely on what matters most — the health and safety of my children.
How You Can Help:
• Donate: Any amount you can contribute makes a difference and is deeply appreciated.
• Share: Share our story on social media, with friends, family, and community groups. Awareness is powerful.
• Voice: Advocate for those in similar situations and help highlight the need for systemic change in our family law courts and child protection agencies.
Closing:
We are grateful for any support you can offer. It takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a compassionate community to save one. Thank you for being part of our village and for believing in our fight.
