I’m reaching out to ask for help for my sister Melissa and her family during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time.

Melissa is pregnant and has three children at home — a 16-year-old, a 2-year-old, and a 1-year-old. Recently, Melissa suffered a serious accident and broke both of her arms, making it impossible for her to work or care for her children on her own.

Because of this, her husband Clinton has had to stop working in order to care for Melissa and the kids full-time. At this moment, both parents are unemployed, with no income and no unemployment benefits, and the timing could not be worse — it’s the holidays, bills have piled up, and job opportunities are limited.

They are now facing eviction on January 1st if they cannot come up with the funds to cover rent and essential household bills.

What we’re trying to raise:

~$2,600 to stop the eviction

Additional funds to cover utilities, groceries, and basic necessities

Total goal: $3,900

This family is doing everything they can, but right now they simply need help getting through this emergency so they can stabilize, heal, and get back on their feet.
