Asking for help for my family After Life-Altering Medical Crisis

UPDATE: Jase had been an absolute Soldier through this entire thing. He had done everything in his power to get his health in order so he can set himself up for success with his new leg. He's quit smoking and everything! Im so proud of him! We are so grateful to everyone who has helped.

Unfortunately, due to jase having weekly drs appointments since may, i was let go from my job due to missing too many days. My income was our only source of income so we have taken a pretty big financial hit. I know everyone is struggling in this economy right now. We are so grateful for any and all help we have recieved. Hi, my name is Jessica, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my husband and our family. Our family is going through an unimaginable time, and we urgently need help.

Jase is undergoing a below the knee leg amputation after being denied timely care at a local hospital. By the time he was transferred to a facility that would treat him, it was too late to save most of his leg. This devastating outcome has forever changed our lives. We have started the application process for disability, but it could take 6 months to a year to find out if he is approved.

He is now receiving care in a hospital several miles from home — a place that’s finally providing the medical attention he desperately needs. But the distance, paired with the lack of reliable transportation, has created overwhelming hardship. Our only vehicle is old ,and unreliable, and unable to make the trip. Due to the loss of jases wages, my income is currently taking care of our entire family, and there is no extra money to try to save for a down payment

Both of us have faced lost wages, mounting bills, and emotional exhaustion. With your support, we’re hoping to raise enough to:

• Help cover their income loss while he recovers

• Put a down payment on a safe, used vehicle so I can visit him in the hospital, get him to rehab 3 times a week once he's released, and manage daily responsibilities

• Cover some medical and travel-related expenses

This is an emergency — If you know me personally, then you know i rarely ask for help, we have both worked hard our entire lives, but i am desperate and have no idea how i will make this work without some help. If you can give anything at all, it will make a meaningful difference in our lives.
