Dear friends,

I am reaching out for help on behalf of my sister and brother-in-law. Over the last year they have had much heart break with the loss of several beloved animals. As of recently they lost their two girls, Kaia and Luna, just a short two weeks apart from each other. They barely got a chance to grieve their loss of, Kaia, whose body finally succumbed to her autoimmune disease, they then had to experience loss all over again in losing Luna who became rapidly ill to what we thought may have been

cancer.

As of today, their last remaining dog and sweetest boy, Maui, started fighting for his life. He has very quickly come down with an unidentifiable illness that is rapidly taking over his body. We have no answers yet as to what is causing this illness and he is currently being hospitalized at the ER. The vet is now starting to suspect that Luna and Maui’s illnesses are actually somehow linked and they may have an infectious disease. Jaimie and Kenny are doing everything within their power to figure out what is happening and doing their best to give Maui the fighting chance he deserves.

They are physically and emotionally exhausted, and we are all in disbelief that this is even happening.

Maui’s vet costs are quickly rising and there are still no answers yet. I am asking for any and all help from our friends and family, even if it means just sharing this post. I know times are hard for a lot of people right now, so we appreciate anything that anyone can do to help.

Jaimie and Kenny do everything for their pets and love them dearly. Their animals are their children and they have experienced so much loss in such a short amount of time. My hope is to help them figure out what’s going on with Maui without having to worry about what it’s going to cost.
