Hello,

I’m doing whatever I can to help my homeless mother and brother. Last Thursday, I got a call from the emergency room that my mother was admitted for leg pain. Upon evaluation, the doctors called me with concerns of psychiatric problems. She suddenly got a massive blood infection and was moved from psychiatric to medical.

They plan on moving her back to psychiatric when the infection clears. She’s lucid and “normal,” then absolutely crazy and makes no sense.

I’ve been left to deal with my mentally ill older brother who’s been left alone with a traumatic brain injury and substance abuse issues and is homeless.

I’m trying to do everything I can to help them, but I can only financially help them with what I can.

I’ve had to organize appointments, doctor visits, dental visits, visits with the crisis center, get my brother back on his antipsychotics, make sure he takes them every day, visit both of them before and after work, try and keep him sober, provide him with supplies like food, water, clothing, and things to keep him warm and not freeze to death in the car that he’s currently living in.

All meanwhile running my business, traveling all over the United States for work, and worrying about them. Any phone call I get, I have to take whether I’m working on a client or trying to relax at home.

I’m going through a lot with my family’s mental decline and have ZERO help from the state and quite honestly just exhausted from all this.

I need help from literally ANYONE who will help me, and I haven’t gotten much aside from thoughts and prayers which in all honesty isn’t helpful at all. Financial support would help SO so much with hospital bills, supplies for them, potential housing, medication costs, co-pays from state insurance, etc.

I’m trying to navigate this crisis that was just dropped in my lap and I need help like really REALLY bad.

It’s too much for one person to deal with.
