To all my friends and families that this GoFundMe touches, this is the next step in the help that is required for my mom, Clara Ramlal. With a new baby on board and a quickly deteriorating mom with dementia, I have found myself in a financial position where it’s time to press the panic button and reach out to everyone for additional support. Life tends to throw us curveballs, and usually, most of us are prepared for it, but sometimes we just never see it coming.

As I mentioned in my previous posting, my mom is undocumented, and I have started the process of sponsoring her. However, due to her now unforeseen medical condition, a lawyer is now going to be retained to finish my mom's paperwork. In addition to this new unexpected expense, we are now faced with her medical expenses from numerous hospital (ER) visits and seeking a caregiver (aid) to help with her daily routines and provide constant supervision now that she is at home. We hope that her papers get approved in less than 4 months, and then she will be able to get medical coverage for her needs. Until that day comes, this GoFundMe's sole purpose is to help pay for her lawyer, medical bills, and for a caregiver.
