Family transitioning to new situation

Hi, my name is Chris and recently my son had meningitis and had to be hospitalized and be at home for about three weeks, which means I missed about a month of work so my ex-wife didn’t have to take time off from her new job so I personally had zero income in this time. Read your critical illness insurance carefully.

Now, for circumstances out of my control and no warning to myself or the kids, my five children are losing their current home and are having to come live with me in a hurry. I’m just seeking out some help with getting them furniture and any other basics that they will need in the near future and supplementing the month of lost income. They will be coming to my fiancé and I with mainly just clothing and whatever else they can get packed up plus a dog and 2 cats. I’m just asking for a little bit of help. I completely understand if someone isn’t financially able or are uncomfortable donating to a person or a cause they are unfamiliar with, but even if people could share that would help out. Thank you!
