My name is Thekrayat Afana, a mother of eight children, and I am writing this from the heart of destruction in Gaza.

We are now homeless.

Our home was completely destroyed during the ongoing war. My husband is severely ill and unable to move, and I am doing my best to protect and care for our children while we live with no shelter, no food, and no safety.

Every night, my children cry from fear and hunger. We have lost everything — our home, our memories, our safety, and our hope..

We are not just statistics. We are a family, like yours. We dreamt of a normal life, of peace, of raising our children in safety. But now, we are begging for the basic right to survive.

We need urgent help for shelter, food, medical care, and to rebuild even a small corner to feel human again.
