Dear Friends,

I'm reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of a brave young woman who urgently needs our help.

After graduating high school in Gaza, she came to the U.S. with a dream — to study engineering, build a better future, and one day help bring her younger siblings to safety. Despite all odds, she has worked incredibly hard, pursuing a degree in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering.

But her journey has taken a heartbreaking turn.

Due to the ongoing crisis in Gaza, she has lost almost everything. Her home in a refugee camp in Gaza and both of her parents’ workplaces have been completely destroyed. This is her third house that get completely destroyed, she spent her childhood from one refugee camp to another. Her family is now scattered — some living as refugees in Egypt, others surviving in tents inside Gaza. She has already lost 15 family members to the violence, and the heartbreak continues with each passing day.

Returning home is not an option. There is nothing left, and no safety to return to.

Her only path forward is to apply for asylum here in the U.S. — a chance to stay safe, continue her education, and work so she can support her devastated family back home.

But the asylum process is expensive. Even after a humanitarian discount, the application fees total $3,530, and they must be paid by MID-OCTOBER. Without this, she risks overstaying her visa, which could put her at risk of deportation — a devastating outcome.

And that's not all she's facing.

She is also dealing with medical issues. After undergoing surgery last year, she now needs another, along with ongoing treatments for chronic pain. A portion of the funds will go toward a medical down payment so she can begin to heal.

To make matters worse, her previous apartment complex threw away all her belongings — furniture, clothes, electronics — without warning, leaving her with nothing alone in the U.S.

Despite everything, she remains determined to fight for her future. Her parents served their community in Gaza for over 24 years as doctors, even in the face of war. She carries that same spirit of service, hoping not just to survive, but to give back and support others.

Now, she needs us.

We’re asking for your generosity and compassion to help raise the funds for her asylum application and medical care. Every dollar — no matter how small — makes a difference. It brings her one step closer to safety, healing, and hope.

Please, if you can, donate and share this message with others who may be able to help.

Thank you for your kindness, your empathy, and for standing with her in this incredibly difficult time.

With deep gratitude,

Nadia Ali
