We are trying to help a young family in northern Ethiopia whose situation has become urgent.

Many years ago, our friend Fran met a young man named Abreham while traveling in Ethiopia. Over time, a small group of us began helping him by sending modest monthly support that made a real difference in his life.

Because of that support, Abreham was able to finish school, become an elementary school teacher, marry, and start a family.

Today, Abreham, his wife, and their young son are living in the Tigray region, where conditions are worsening again and there are real fears that violence may escalate.

Their situation is especially urgent because their little boy has undergone surgery for hydrocephalus and requires ongoing medication and care. Access to medical treatment in the region is extremely limited and increasingly uncertain.

We are trying to help this family:

• Get to a safer location

• Maintain access to critical medical care for their child

• Cover basic living and travel expenses during this transition

We are raising funds to make that possible.
