Naji Fayez Foura is a 21-year-old refugee from northern Gaza. He was initially displaced to southern Gaza with his family, and now he has evacuated to Egypt with part of his family, including his mother and his little sisters. His family was separated at the Rafah border crossing when his father was not allowed to cross, leaving his father and his older siblings stuck in Gaza. Naji is carrying the burden of supporting his entire family, both in Egypt and in Gaza. This is especially difficult due to the famine and extremely high prices of goods in the southern Gaza strip, as well as the lack of resources for Palestinian refugees in Egypt. Naji has an urgent mutual aid request for donations to pay the rent for his family in Egypt and provide desperately needed contributions to his family who is still in Gaza. His father is in poor health, and his brother in Gaza is married and needs support for his family as well.
A message from Naji:
“We are 12 people: 7 daughters and 3 sons. Four daughters are married, and one of my brothers is married and has 3 children. We had a warehouse of goods that was our source of income, but it was completely destroyed in the war. We were displaced from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, where we ended up in tents. All of this is because of the Zionist occupation, may God curse them
The situation was tough; my father fell ill and spent twenty days in the hospital. He needs ongoing treatment, but we have no income at all. We tried to leave Gaza through organisations for my father’s sake, but there was an issue with a document from the Jawwal company. When we tried to resolve it, the crossing was closed by the occupation forces. We cried and cried and they did not allow him to leave.
I escaped Gaza to Egypt with my mother and my young sisters. We are in dire need of your assistance because we have no one to help us, and we need support to get my father, who has suffered greatly, out of Gaza and cover the costs of the journey. My father needs you. I hope you look at him with mercy.
Every day I say I wish I had not left and remained under death, hunger, bombing and displacement and did not go to Egypt. I feel like you are a stranger in the country and no one looks at us.
And we are suffering inside Gaza and outside it is the suffering of the Palestinian, wherever he goes, suffering follows him.
I hope you help me. Please, please, feel for us. I am a young man. I bear a great responsibility, please support us ”
