A Father's Plea: My Son Alex Was Nearly Killed in a Horrific Accident — He Needs Your Help to Recover
On June 10th, my son Alex was in a devastating car accident in Topeka, Kansas — an accident that nearly took his life and forever changed his future.
Alex suffered:
A traumatic brain injury (TBI)
A leg amputation, which is still open and under wound vac
A split pelvis, multiple surgeries still ahead to clean and close
A broken collarbone
A severe rectal injury
And unimaginable physical and emotional pain
He’s still in the ICU weeks later, facing more surgeries, more complications, and a very long road to recovery. Doctors have said it will take months, if not years for his brain to heal — and the journey to walk again with a prosthetic will be just as long. On top of this, Alex is type 1 diabetic and this will slow down his healing process.
Why We’re Asking for Help
Alex was an innocent passenger. This wasn’t his fault — yet his entire life has been shattered. As his father, I’ve flown from Florida to Kansas to be by his side in the hospital, but the expenses are piling up quickly:
More surgeries & wound care
Future prosthetics and physical therapy
Long-term TBI rehabilitation
✈️ Travel, housing, and loss of income while supporting him
Major life changes to adapt to disability
How You Can Make a Difference
If you’ve ever prayed for someone’s second chance, I’m asking you now:
Please help Alex rebuild his life.
Every dollar helps.
Every share matters.
Every act of kindness keeps us going.
Even if you can't donate, please take a moment to share this with your friends, church groups, coworkers — anyone who can help bring light into this nightmare.
From the bottom of my heart,
Thank you.
