<div>He’s still in the ICU weeks later, facing more surgeries, more complications, and a very long road to recovery. Doctors have said it will take months, if not years for his brain to heal — and the journey to walk again with a prosthetic will be just as long. On top of this, Alex is type 1 diabetic and this will slow down his healing process.
