Urgent Call: Fadel Family in Gaza Needs Help!

Dear compassionate supporters,
I am Fadel Abukarsh from Gaza - Palestine, and I am reaching out to you in urgent need. The ongoing war has left my family- my elderly parents, my devoted wife, and our four beautiful children, Nazek (9 years old), Waheed (8 years old), Nadine (2 years old), and Daren (1 year old), in dire circumstances.
Our lives have been shattered since the 7th of Oct, leaving us without anything but memories of happier times at home and struggling to meet even our most basic needs.
Before the devastation, I worked as an Operations Manager and Digital Transformation Officer at one of the leading IT companies in Palestine, which was also destroyed and leveled to the ground, just like my home.
I was doing my best to provide the best life for my family and children, believing in the power of education as a pathway to a brighter future for them.
However, our children have now lost access to their school, and they are facing unimaginable challenges due to the ongoing war. My children are suffering physically, emotionally, and mentally.
We are grappling with severe shortages of clothing, medication, and essential supplies, such as diapers and milk for our little ones.
The toll of the war extends beyond material losses.
My father, a victim of a previous attack, suffers from debilitating health conditions that require urgent medical attention. The escalating violence and financial strain have made accessing treatment impossible for us.
I have no siblings and am the only one caring for my parents. I feel very helpless in the meantime.
Our family of eight is crammed into a tiny space, enduring extreme cold and uncertainty about our future. With each passing day, the situation becomes more desperate, and the need for assistance grows more urgent.
My responsibilities extend beyond my immediate family. As the sole provider for my parents, their worsening health due to untreated Cronin diseases weighs heavily on my shoulders. I feel helpless, and with limited financial resources, I struggle to afford the necessary medication, intensifying my sense of duty to protect them from the ravages of war.
Meanwhile, my wife's difficulties in accessing basic female hygiene necessities leave her mentally drained and exhausted every month.
I humbly ask for your support in the following areas:
Emergency assistance: to cover our immediate living expenses as we navigate this crisis without any source of income.
Evacuation Fee/Egyptian Coordination: 30000$ - 40000$ USD (8 persons) to help us afford the exorbitant fees imposed for crossing the Rafah Crossing, our only lifeline to potential safety and medical care.
Living expenses: to provide my family a safe haven and basic necessities for the next six months.
Your support is more than financial aid; it's a lifeline, a glimmer of hope in the darkness. It's a chance for a father to feed his hungry children, for a son to ease his father's pain, and for a family to find solace in a world torn apart by war.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Fadel Abukarsh
