Urgent Appeal: Help Us Replace our Transmitter

Dear Friends of Sunny Govan

Unfortunately today we have an urgent and heartfelt appeal for help.

Sunny Govan Community Radio has been a beacon of hope, unity and development for the people of Glasgow and beyond for over 22 years, thanks to the power and of community radio.

But right now, our ability to continue our mission is under threat.

Our FM transmitter after 15 years of faithful service as the lifeblood of our organisation, has suffered a critical failure.

The estimated cost of repairing or replacing it is approximately £4,000. This is a significant financial burden for a small charity like ours, and we need your help to keep our FM radio broadcasts alive loud and proud .

Our FM broadcast plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the community.

Our radio station is not just a medium of entertainment; it is a platform for education, a source of connection, and a hub for creativity. We provide vital training opportunities and a space for local voices to be heard. Our diverse range of programs covers everything from music to news, culture to community events, and much more.

We are a reflection of Glasgow's vibrant spirit.
