Urgent Appeal: please help Doncaster Housing for Young People (DHYP) in securing a new office to call a home

Doncaster Housing for Young People (DHYP), a remarkable charity dedicated to helping young people aged 16–25 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. 

Since 1993, DHYP has been a lifeline for young people in Doncaster, providing crucial support and guidance when it's needed most. Their services include shared houses, tenancy support, supported lodgings, outreach programs including employment and volunteering skills, and wellbeing services including inhouse counselling.

DHYP’s approach goes beyond just providing housing it empowers young people to face challenges with confidence and take steps toward a brighter, more secure future.

DHYP urgently needs funding to secure a dedicated office space so they can continue their vital work with young people in Doncaster. As their team grows and the need for support increases, their current space is no longer big enough.

In 2023/24 alone, DHYP supported 361 young people aged 16–25 through a range of essential services including shared housing, supported lodgings, floating support, and drop-in sessions focused on employment, skills, and wellbeing.

A new office would give them the space they need to grow and help even more young people facing homelessness or hardship.
