Hello friends and family,
I wanted to share an update from the heart. The kids and I are safe, and for the first time in a long time, our home is quiet. There’s no yelling, no chaos, no fear. Instead of hiding in their rooms, we’re spending time together, and that peace has been everything to us.
But financially, we are still really struggling. Rent has not been resolved, and January is still due with February coming quickly behind it. I’ve reached out to multiple agencies for help, but the process is slow and resources are limited. Bills continue to pile up, and I’ve been doing my best just to keep us afloat.
After almost three weeks, we were finally able to get a car, which was a huge step toward working more and regaining independence. I am so grateful to the people who helped with rides and getting the kids where they needed to be—it’s something I’ll never forget.
We tried to move into a more affordable home, but due to income verification requirements, the damage done to credit, and the circumstances surrounding the separation, it’s going to be more challenging. On top of rent, we are facing moving expenses, extra security deposits, application fees, and the basic costs of starting over, all at once. I’ve been trying to sell personal belongings, but that has limitations.
At the moment, money is extremely tight. Gas, household needs, children’s needs have become a daily struggle. I don’t have family support to lean on, and without siblings or a safety net, this season has been incredibly lonely. I am trying so hard to stay strong for my children, but we are still buried pretty deep and just need help getting our heads above water.
If you are able to donate in any amount, please know that every single dollar truly matters. Your support will help cover rent, moving costs, security deposits, utilities, gas, and essentials—everything needed to stabilize our lives and create a safe, peaceful home for my children.
Sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful. The more people this reaches, the greater the likelihood that we’ll receive the help we need to get through this.
Thank you for your prayers, your messages, and your kindness. Everything I’m doing is for my children and to give them stability, safety, and a fresh start. Your support means more than I can ever say.
