Support for Carissa

Hello friends and supporters,

I’m here with Carissa as we ask her community for some financial support as she recovers from her most difficult few years. Though it is always hard to ask for help, Carissa is ready to call on the love and resources abundant in our community to help her get out of survival mode, and back to a place of balance and peace where she can grow and bloom alongside her beautiful children.

Through sheer determination, Carissa has persevered to support her children with unconditional love and hope, despite financial and emotional exhaustion, debilitating Crohn’s disease flare ups, finding safe and secure housing and dealing with ongoing car issues. And with the custody case for her daughter, the burdens have been overwhelming. Carissa is hoping to raise enough funds to clear her remaining legal fees, catch up on car maintenance and registration, and to get started back on the right foot again. Having a reliable car is critical to her ability to continue to do her work and provide for her family.

Thank you for every dollar that you can contribute to this collective effort. Any funds that we can share will mean that Carissa has a bit less to worry about and can spend her energy on being the amazing mom, artist, healer, gardener, cook and friend that we know and love.
