Brother missing

Hey, everyone. Our brother, son, and friend Eric McLean has been missing and uncontactable since August 12th, 2022. He was last seen in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago walking southbound on Woodlawn Avenue.

Eric is an extremely private person who’s known for bringing jokes, joy, and happiness where ever he goes. He’s incredibly thoughtful and one of the funniest people we’ve ever met. He’s an amazing brother, son, and friend who has a gift for making folks laugh and feel heard and understood.

We last spoke to Eric on August 12, 2022 wherein he sent us an extremely alarming message that has us worried for his physical and mental well-being. We know he’s no longer a tenant at his previous address as of August 12, 2022. His last message to us suggested that he may be going near the Indiana/Illinois border.

We know Eric is in severe crisis and we need help to find him soon so that we can be there for him and help him get the help he needs.

We’ve filed a missing person’s report with the Chicago Police Department and are hoping to be able search for him ourselves, as well.

Additionally, any funds you can donate will help us to afford to take time away from work to search for him. Any funds you can donate will help us to afford the physical and mental health care that he needs when we find him. Any funds you can donate will help us support Eric’s mom and family get him back on his feet after these incredibly difficult and uncertain times.
