Update: Thanks to everyone who contributed! We will know our final weigh in numbers but through last week our team had donated over 5,000 lbs of food and we are expecting to have close to 3,000 more for the weigh in today. Cumulatively we have spent just over $3,000 as a team including 100% of donations from here on Go Fund Me.

My name is Ryan and I work for a company in Eugene, Oregon. Every year in July, we do a food drive to benefit FOOD For Lane County. To encourage us to raise as much food as possible, we split into teams to make things more competitive.

My team, the “Only Cans,” is trying to raise a minimum of $500 via GoFundMe, in addition to the personal funds we have put in. 100% of the received money will go to purchasing non-perishable foods that will be donated to FOOD For Lane County at the end of July.

The purchased food will balance cents per ounce with quality food that people would actually want to eat.
