Some of you may know my stepmom Dee transitioned this week. Devastation and heartbreak are not even the words for what we are all feeling right now. She has raised me and my siblings since we were in elementary. As much as this is completely heartbreaking, we are going to cherish the good times that we had with her. Everybody knows Dee was strong and spoke her mind. She loved to cook and crochet; I’m sure some of you have a blanket made by her. We are going to miss her fried green tomatoes, her ribs, our BBQ get-togethers, and so much more.

She and my dad are also raising my nephew Karter. He is fully not understanding where his Mema is. My dad has got a long road ahead of him emotionally & financially. His lease is up in October and he is the only one financially supporting himself and Karter now. I am working on raising funds to help him get through this time and also to lay my stepmom to rest. Anything donated will be greatly appreciated.
