UPDATE (11/16/2020):
Thank you to the entire team at Upwork! With your help, we have raised $5,050 for this year's care package effort. Including UVG's match, which brings our total donation amount to $10,100, we will be able to fund ~673 care packages this year to active duty soldiers around the world. We cannot even begin to express our gratitude, but just know that we're already taking measures to plan how we'll be able to beat 673 in a physical setting next year ;). World class effort, as always!
Last year, Upwork Veterans Group hosted a very successful Veterans Day Buzz centered around the building of care packages for active duty service members in Afghanistan & Iraq. We collectively compiled 101 care packages and aspire to do close to that, if not more. We are hoping to beat last year's effort with a goal of 200 care packages this year! As a result of the ongoing pandemic, we unfortunately cannot congregate together in a physical setting. However, we will be accepting donations towards care packages & related shipping efforts that will be handled through Operation Gratitude.
