Hello!

My name is Laura Cuille, and I am excited to support Upshift Youth Empowerment Initiative (USYEI), a community-based organization in Buikwe, Uganda, dedicated to empowering children and youth through education, digital literacy, creative arts, mentorship, and life skills development.

USYEI works tirelessly to create safe, supportive, and inspiring spaces where young people can thrive. From providing essential educational materials to mentoring, digital skills training, and creative programs, USYEI ensures that every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and dream big. I am proud to help amplify their mission so more young people in Uganda can reach their full potential.

What We Do:

Digital Literacy & Innovation Programs: Youth learn computer skills, safe internet use, and digital entrepreneurship to prepare for the future.

Holiday and After-School Programs: Children engage in sports, creative arts, and educational activities that build confidence and leadership.

Educational Support: Provision of scholarships, school supplies, and tutoring ensures children access quality education.

Mentorship & Life Skills Training: Workshops and guidance equip youth with the tools to succeed in school, work, and life.

Creative Arts & Expression: Music, dance, and art programs allow children to explore their talents and express themselves.

Community Engagement: USYEI hosts events that unite communities, promote collaboration, and foster positive growth.

How Funds Will Be Used:

We are raising $20,000 to:

Build a community learning and innovation center for education, digital literacy, and creative programs.

Launch a feeding program to provide nutritious meals for children during program days.

Invest in essential equipment for digital literacy, creative arts, and music programs, including computers, art supplies, local Ugandan drums, guitars, and speakers.

Support holiday and after-school programs that keep children learning, playing, and growing.
