Hi my name is Kate Rafferty and I am in Year 13 at St.Patrick’s college Maghera. I have been chosen along with 19 other students to travel to Braşov in Romania, as apart of the “School aid Romania” organisation.

In January 2026 we will be traveling to Romania, along with students from Methodist college in Belfast, with the task to bring basic necessities to the less fortunate people of Braşov.

In order to carry out this work we have been tasked with fundraising £2000 each to be able to provide the people with things, we here take for granted, in places such as orphanages and care homes.
