Please support the Uppermill Band Contest – A Tradition Worth Keeping Alive!

We are reaching out to you to support a beloved community event that has been a staple of our town’s history since 1884—the Uppermill Band Contest. On Friday, June 13th, 2025, this incredible event will bring together brass bands from across the country, along with thousands of spectators, to celebrate music, tradition, and community spirit.

As the oldest Whit Friday Brass Band Contest in Saddleworth, Uppermill is a special part of our cultural heritage, and we are proud to host bands of all grades, from local groups and youth bands to international performers. The streets will come alive with their high-energy marches, while the Playing Field will echo with the sounds of our talented musicians, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for families and music lovers alike.

However, to make this event a reality, we need your help. The Uppermill Band Contest is powered by the hard work and dedication of our committee, volunteers, and generous donors like you. It’s only with the support of individuals, businesses, and local authorities that we can continue to provide top-notch facilities and prizes that make this event a rewarding experience for the bands and everyone involved.

Could you make a donation, big or small, to help us cover the costs of the contest? Your support will go directly towards ensuring the bands have the best possible experience, and that our community continues to enjoy this treasured tradition for years to come.

Every contribution makes a difference—whether you donate, share our campaign with friends and family, or spread the word within your network. Together, we can make this year’s contest one to remember.

Please donate today and help us continue this remarkable tradition.

Thank you for your generosity and support. We couldn’t do it without you!

Warm regards,

The Uppermill Band Contest Fundraising Team
