The goal is to distribute 120 care kits to unhoused folks in Upper Manhattan (from roughly 145th St to 215th St). Kits will contain toiletries & hygiene products, socks, hats, gloves, food gift cards, bottles of water/juice, food, first aid kits, hand warmers, cash, and a few miscellaneous items. Products will be delivered in reusable shopping bags.

In 2024-2025, we delivered 104 care kits to folks in Upper Manhattan. The project cost was about $6,000 in total. With the same amount of money this year, I'm hoping to expand the project to 120 kits by utilizing direct donation funds for purchasing the majority of the food and drink items, as well as for some toiletry products, in bulk at Costco, as opposed to having them on the wishlist like I did last year.

Just like last year, extra money raised or items available will either go into existing kits or towards additional kits.

The goal is to finish fundraising by the end of December and distribute in January.
