(Upper) High Hawk easement road erosion repair

Donation protected
Hello neighbours,
I'm reaching out to fellow owners and users of the Fircom road network who support keeping our road network safe and usable.
If you have transited on the upper end of High Hawk road which is an easment and therefore not included or maintaned as a SELBOS owners association asset, you will have noticed that it has become almost impassable due to water erosion caused by a collapsed culvert. With each heavy rain the erosion has worsened. High Hawk road adds safety by creating an additional access between the lower Fircom area and Port Graves Way. The only other access is via Jay Road.
As the chair of the fire committee I took it upon myself to prevent High Hawk road from becoming totally impassable and lost as a safety asset for moving resources during emergencies.
The collapsed culvert has recently been replaced and the total cost came to $4827.57.
I have personally bourn all the costs so far.
The culvert cost $2527.57, and the installation cost: $2300.
I did everythng in my power to keep the costs down. The culvert was transported to Fircom along with the culvert for the big culvert repaired on Jay road.
I am asking you as community members to help me recouperate the costs I have paid out of pocket.
Along with coordinating this repair, I am also contributing $650.
I would ask you to please help me with this cost, knowing that you are helping build resilience in our community.
Thank you,
Sandro Frei
