This year marks the 25th anniversary of the work of UPLIFT- The program of adult literacy in one of the poorest regions of Uganda reaching thousands of adults mainly women and mothers. Since its humble beginnings in 2001, 30,000 adults in one of Uganda’s poorest and most illiterate ‘corners’ have learned to read and write.
