Hello! I'm Juliet Jackson, along with Mia Franey and Bianca Lee. We are Commack Juniors looking to make an impact on our local community for our IB CAS Project, which is an IB Diploma Community Service Project to productively impact our community.
For our project, we were inspired to find ways to enhance vital organizations within our community to uplift local youth. We decided to partner with The Friendship Circle of Dix Hills to support our event. The Friendship Circle is an organization focused on uplifting and enabling children with special needs in our local community to build independence and friendship from the support of neuro-typical peers, activity, and sponsorship.
The Friendship Circle holds a special place in our hearts because it embodies the power of inclusion, compassion, and community. Through its programs, children with disabilities are not only provided with enriching experiences, but also with the chance to create meaningful friendships that can last a lifetime. These moments of connection—whether through art, games, sports, or simple shared joy—are incredibly impactful for everyone involved.
As part of our IB CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) Project, we wanted to do more than just volunteer—we wanted to leave a lasting impact. The funds raised through our Paint Night and this GoFundMe will directly support peer mentorship programs, group outings, adaptive activities, and creative events that make all children feel seen, included, and celebrated. Every dollar helps make this vision a reality.
We believe that every child deserves the chance to experience joy, connection, and empowerment—regardless of their abilities. By donating, you’re not only supporting a fundraiser; you're investing in a future where kindness and community lead the way. Thank you so much for helping us turn this dream into action. Your generosity will go a long way in brightening the lives of so many deserving kids right here in our neighborhood.
We are running a local paint night at an elementary school nearby on May 28th to raise funds for The Friendship Circle and for the local children with disabilities in our Commack Community. Alongside it, we are running this fundraiser to raise as much money as possible for this wonderful organization! 100% of proceeds will be donated towards supporting the Friendship Circle and the local disabled community. This goes towards group funds, activities, outings, and the empowerment of disabled children in the local community.
We would love your support in donations to be able to maximize our community gift to the Friendship Circle! We can't wait to enable new opportunities for our local community and uplift amazing members of it through the Friendship Circle.
