The River City Revolution Show Choir in La Crosse, WI, is a vibrant group of 40-50 students who dedicate countless hours to perfecting their performances. This inclusive choir challenges its members both physically and mentally, helping them develop confidence, teamwork, and lifelong friendships. Many students go on to become leaders in their communities, thanks in part to the skills and experiences they gain through the choir.
Unfortunately, the auditorium’s outdated sound system is holding these talented students back. The analog sound mixer has failing channels and unreliable connections, while the wireless microphones are old and prone to feedback and crackling. Every concert, audience members and students alike experience technical issues that disrupt performances and dampen the choir’s hard work. The current system simply can’t keep up with the demands of modern performances, and the auditorium’s scheduled refurbishment may be years away.
With your support, we aim to replace the sound mixer, wireless microphones, monitor speakers, wiring and infrastructure, with modern equipment that will serve the choir and other auditorium functions for years to come. The new system will allow for high-quality audio, better reliability, and a more professional experience for both performers and audiences. Choir director Ian Schultz will oversee the renovation, with procurement handled by Commercial AV Systems LLC in consultation with Dana Erickson, Audio Engineer and Consultant. Your contribution will help ensure these students have the tools they need to shine on stage and continue building skills that last a lifetime.
