Die San Blas Inseln sind eine beliebte Touristenattraktion an der Karibikküste in Panama. Genauso wie die berühmten Malediven ist diese Inselgruppe vom Anstieg des Meeresspiegels bedroht.
Für die Touristenunterkünfte wird viel investiert, allerdings auf den Inseln der Einheimischen zerfällt immer mehr und die Inseln werden Stück für Stück vom Meer überschwemmt.
Gemeinsam mit dem Einheimischen Victor sammeln wir nun Spendengelder, um die Häuser der Einheimischen nach der letzten Sturmflut zu restaurieren sowie einen Schutz gegen die zunehmenden Fluten zu errichten.
Die Kunas sind eines der letzten indigenen Völker Panamas, die bis heute vom Fischfang und dem Tourismus auf den Inseln leben. Es ist ihre Heimat und wir möchten gerne einen Beitrag leisten, diese Heimat zu erhalten.
Es wird Zement, Sand und viele weitere Werkzeuge benötigt.
Auch ein kleiner Spendenbeitrag hilft, um den Kunas ihre Heimat zu errichten.
Victor arbeitet als Touristenguide in Panama City und hat dort bereits eine Organisation gegründet, um Kinder aus El Chorillo, einem ärmeren Teil Panamas zu helfen z.B. durch kostenlose Bildungsangebote. Sein nächstes Projekt ist die Wiederherstellung seiner Heimatinsel auf San Blas/Guna Yala sowie eine Recyclinglösung für den dort angeschwemmten Plastikmüll zu finden.

Wir haben den Spendenbetrag von 1.000€ auf 2.000€ erhöht, da wir mit der Summe für Schulbedarf und weitere Materialien für das Recycling Center und die örtliche Schule benötigen.

The San Blas Islands are a popular tourist attraction on the Caribbean coast in Panama. Just like the famous Maldives, this group of islands is threatened by rising sea levels.
A lot is being invested in tourist accommodation, but more and more is decaying on the islands and the islands are being flooded bit by bit by the sea.
Together with the local Victor, we are now collecting donations to restore the houses of the locals after the last storm surge and to provide protection against the increasing floods.
The Kunas are one of the last indigenous people of Panama who still live from fishing and tourism on the islands. It is their home and we would like to make a contribution to maintaining this home.
Cement, sand and many other tools are required.
A small donation also helps to build the Kunas their home.
Victor works as a guide in Panama City and founded a organisation to help children with free education seasons, His new project is the reconstruction of his home island in San Blas/Guna Yala and a solution for the plastic polution.
