AVO Teresa González 2026!
*** Ganz unten folgt eine kleine Biografie, damit du mich besser kennenlernst und meinen künstlerischen und persönlichen Werdegang nachvollziehen kannst./Abajo viene una pequeña biografía para que me conozcas mejor y puedas conocer mi camino artístico y personal./Below is a short biography so that you can get to know me better and understand (or follow) my artistic and personal journey.***

Kein Geld - kein Abschluss? [English bellow* Español abajo**]

Please spread the word!

Herzlichen Dank!
Teresa

No Money - No Degree?
Hi, I'm Teresa. I'm close to completing my acting studies at the Ernst Busch University of Theatre Arts in Berlin. My absolute dream profession and dream school! The graduate showcase (the so called AVO) – the most important moment of my training – is coming up in October 2026. Following that are the ZAV auditions and other showcases. Unfortunately, I find myself in an existential financial crisis that is threatening the successful completion of my studies! And this so close to the finish line!

Why is this happening?
All state funding opportunities and other scholarship options for living expenses have been exhausted (until now, I have been a scholarship holder of one of Germany's 13 programs for gifted students, and before that, with the help of friends and relatives, I managed to move to Berlin for my studies.). Starting in March 2026, I will no longer receive this funding because due to a health problem during my first year of studies, I have exceeded the standard period of study. As a foreigner, I am not eligible for BAföG and cannot even apply for a loan. I simply fall through the cracks of every other form of funding! My family, due to their own financial hardship, unfortunately cannot support me either. Alongside the intensive AVO preparation, I can only work very limited hours – respectively not enough to finance my living expenses.

I urgently ask for your support!
I personally, the university, my mentors, and the Friends of the Academy Foundation are asking for your support so that I can successfully complete my studies.
We are looking for sponsors who can help with a financial contribution. Any amount is welcome! The donations will go toward securing my rent, necessary health insurance, and general living expenses, and will enable me to maintain the necessary focus on my studies and the final phase. Every donation helps ensure that I can complete the AVO year.

Please spread the word!
Please, please share this appeal in your network as well! I am completely dependent on this appeal being widely distributed. The university, the mentors, and the Friends of the Academy Foundation will also try to distribute this appeal broadly.

Please help me finish my studies.
Thank you so much!
Teresa

¿Sin dinero no hay titulación?
Hola, soy Teresa.

Teresa

About me/Bio: (ESPAÑOL abajo*, DEUTSCH unten**)
Hi, my name is Teresa. I was born and raised in Mexico City, where I began my acting studies at the ENAT (Escuela de Arte Teatral). I interrupted my studies in Mexico because I was accepted into the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst ”Ernst Busch”, which at that time had become my greatest dream in life. Some of my biggest idols, like Nina Hoss, Sandra Hüller, Kathleen Morgeneyer, Lars Eidinger, and Marcel Kohler, attended this school. The day I was accepted was literally the happiest day of my life. I mainly self-taught myself German in Mexico and, after two years, completed the Goethe-Zertifikat C2. In 2020, I reached the final phase of the casting for the latest film by Amat Escalante (Best Director, Cannes 2013). That same year, I was nominated as Best Actress at the 48 Hour Film Project International (the largest short film festival in the world) for my lead role in the short film “De Elisa para mí”. I didn’t come to Germany only to pursue an artistic education in the profession I love. I also came seeking a safer and better life. Mexico is one of the countries with the highest number of femicides per year, and it pains me to say that I never felt safe as a woman in my homeland—not only because “they are killing us” but also because the national crisis of drug cartels and organized crime has become increasingly violent and unavoidable.I consider myself a feminist and actively support and demonstrate with the collectives “Ni Una Menos Mexico” and “Ni Una Menos Berlin.”
