Situación Actual:
En El Salvador la condición de vida siempre ha sido difícil para muchos, ya que el país es uno de los más pobres de LatinoAmérica. Sin embargo, un gran rango de la población se mantenía a flote día a día a través de negocios informales y ambulantes. Con la llegada del virus COVID-19 muchos salvadoreños, que ya habitaban en pobreza extrema, han tenido que sufrir hambre y otro tipo de carencias debido a la cuarentena y restricciones en sus campos de trabajo.
Qué es UnoXUno y cómo ayudará?
UnoXUno nace de la iniciativa de un grupo de jóvenes que tienen por objetivo apoyar y consolar a los afectados por el Covid-19 y la tormenta tropical Amanda en El Salvador. Nuestro país aunque prometedor, es pequeño y los efectos secundarios de la pandemia afectan a las familias salvadoreñas de maneras exorbitantes.
Es por eso, que decidimos crear el movimiento, UnoXUno, con fines de aliviar el hambre a los más necesitados. Este movimiento consiste en recaudar fondos que serán destinados para ayudar a comunidades de bajos recursos en nuestro pais, El Salvador. De la mano de Uniendo Fuerzas por El Salvador y Sumemos, estaremos entregando viveres a distintas comunidades a lo largo del pais.
Current Situation:
In El Salvador, living conditions have always been difficult for many, since the country is one of the poorest in Latin America. However, a big part of the population lives day by day through informal and mobile businesses. With the arrival of the COVID-19, many Salvadorans, who were already living in extreme poverty, have had to suffer from hunger and other types of deprivation due to quarantine and restrictions in their fields of work.
What is UnoXUno and how will we help?
UnoXUno was born from the initiative of a group of young people whose objective is to support and comfort those affected by Covid-19 and tropical storm Amanda in El Salvador. Although promising, our country is small and the side effects of the pandemic affect Salvadoran families in exorbitant ways.
That is why we decided to create the movement, UnoXUno, in order to alleviate hunger for those most in need. This movement consists of raising funds that will be destined to help low-income communities in our country, El Salvador. Together with Uniendo Fuerzas por El Salvador and Sumemos, we will be delivering food and other basic supplies to different communities throughout the country.
