Unleash Generosity for the Zimmerman Family

Jon and Lauren Zimmerman are an AMAZING couple - cherished friends to many, faithful followers of Jesus, and genuinely loving and eager to help others in need.  Lauren is the Kid Ministry Director at LCBC York and Jon works in the construction field. 


On December 15, 2020, Jon, Lauren and their almost 3-year-old son Rowan welcomed Levi Denver into this world. Levi was immediately admitted to the Hershey NICU for severe micronathia (recessed jaw), Sticklers syndrome, PRS (Pierre Robin Sequence), among other diagnoses, some of which are still being evaluated. January 6th, Levi underwent a tongue-lip adhesion surgery to help his airway and feeding, and is still working to breath and feed effectively.  Levi is currently fed from an NG tube. The medical team is still determining the appropriate next steps for Levi and a return to home date is unclear at this point, after 30+ days in the hospital already. Jon has since returned to work and Lauren and Jon continue to rotate time at the hospital.  Their son, Rowan is staying with Lauren’s parents in Maryland and feeling the sadness of being away from his parents and little brother.

 
Jon and Lauren and their family still have a lengthy road ahead of them, and we first and foremost ask for your prayers for strength and healing.  But they also face significant expenses – to include medical bills, specialized equipment for Levi, having to eat constantly on the run, driving back and forth from the hospital and more than we truly understand.  A few weeks ago, their one car broke down as well and must be replaced.  They may also need special care for Levi when he returns home.  Due to these ongoing expenses and ones that are yet unknown, and because we feel a continued burden on our heart to help this incredibly loving family, we wanted to start a gofundme page to unleash LOVE and GENEROSITY over the Zimmerman family.

 
They continue to forge through some very difficult times. Please if anything, pray for the continued strength and perseverance through their journey. Pray for healing for Levi. Pray for wisdom and compassion for the providers.  Pray for Rowan who is missing time away from Jon and Lauren. Pray for strength and unity for Jon and Lauren who are weathering sleepless nights and limited time together. And please also pray for Lauren’s family who is supporting them, and her brother Matt who is undergoing cancer treatment.
